For DPI sensor requirements on premises networks, Netsense DPI sensor software can be deployed on any commercial off the shelf(COTS) desktop/server and compute requirerments depend on speed and volume of the network links you intend to monitor. For < 1G links commercial off the shelf desktops are sufficient, For links which are 10G and more server class hardware are recommended.

For private cloud, Netsense software can be rolled out as a virtual machine on your hypervisors and traffic feeds can be setup from virtual machines using port mirroring methods on the vswitch/virtual distributed switch.

For public cloud, Netsense software can be rolled out as a computing instance in your cloud VPC network and traffic feeds can be setup from virtual machines/computing instances using traffic/port mirroring methods in your VPC.
