## Deploy anywhere

Built as a software only solution Netsense sensor can be deployed as a SNMP poller or Netflow collector or DPI sensor in any IT network from on premises to private cloud to public cloud infrastructure. As a passive sensor in your IT network, Netsense does not add any overhead into your IT network or your network devices or your application servers while performing its core functions. 

For SNMP poller and Netflow collector functions, Netsense sensor software is typically deployed as a dedicated virtual machine. 

Only for DPI sensor in on premises networks NetSense DPI sensor needs a dedicated physical machine to perform its core functions.

NetSense software is built on Linux Ubuntu 22.04 server OS and does need any other addtional commercial software to perform its functions.
