## Configuring APM Agents

ThoughtData's APM agents when installed on your business critical application servers provide real time and deep visibility into availability and performance of your business critical applications.

with ThoughtData's APM agents you can

1. Quickly identify application problems  

          Identify failures and performance issues with front end, middleware, back end, database and also external third-party services or API integrations. Track every single application transaction end to end to understand the performance of all sub transactions and data base calls. Drill down into transaction details, and metrics for deeper analysis.
2. Perform instant root cause analysis  

          Simplify the investigation of microservices and distributed architectures for DevOps and SRE teams by tracing the transactions end to end to identify the underlying root cause. Find the root cause of the problems, narrowing down to a release, version or troublesome nodes while having access to contextual traces, logs, and metrics.
3. Analyze transactions, function calls, database queries and external API calls to improve code quality with end-to-end distributed tracing.
4. Deploy applications with confidence and accelerate the application delivery pipeline.                                              Identify and quantify application performance changes with continuous visibility during service delivery. Validate performance improvements and changes.

ThoughtData's APM agents are available for different application frameworks and versions.

Following APM agents are currently supported

**Note:** Golang, PHP, Python and .Net based APM agents can be made available on customer request and are currently in beta phase.
