## Prerequisites - Infrasense

Infrasense software requires a dedicated system for its core functions. It can be deployed as a software on a physical machine in one premises network or as a virtual machine in a private cloud or as a computing node in public cloud.

Upon purchase/subscription. You can download the related software package and complete the installation steps as described in this section.

***Note****: Infrasense Active sensors can not communicate directly to Enterprise360 and would also require a Linux based Infrasense Passive sensor additionally.*

The following have to be kept ready for use before you begin the installation steps.

- A machine in the network (private or public cloud or data center) – this could be a physical machine, or a virtual machine meeting the resource requirements for the software.
- The right version of operating environment, for example: Ubuntu 20.04.
- The matching software installer package. For example:
- ‎td-infra-sensor_1.0-2_20.04.amd64.deb where1.0-2 is the version of the software,
  - 20.04 is the version of the Ubuntu operating system, and
  - .deb indicates that the package is meant for the Ubuntu OS
  - The install script. For example
  - install.sh

**Note**: Resource requirements of Infrasense sensor depends on the number of devices being monitored by the Infrasense sensor and also software functions enabled on Infrasense like APM, RUM, synthetic monitoring etc. Workload can be distributed across multiple Infrasense sensors for optimal performance.
