## Infrasense Active Agent

When Infrasense software is installed on

- any Linux (Fedora 32/above or CentOS 8/above or Ubuntu 20.04/above)

or

- Windows Desktop XP/10/11 , Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022

the result is ***Infrasense Active Agent***, which works as a software application monitoring data exclusively on that desktop or server only.

#### Scale of installation

Customers who opt for Infrasense Active Agent deployment would be required to install Infrasense software on every desktop/server which requires monitoring in their enterprise network.

The IT team has to

- obtain the right Infrasense installation package/binary for each operating systems on the servers in the network and
- repeat installation of the Infrasense software as many times as the number of servers in the network or embed the Infrasense agent in OS images of your application servers.

 Resource requirements

Customers who do not prefer any 3rd party applications running on their servers or software agents consuming any memory/CPU resources or because of cyber security policies or concerns should opt for *Infrasense Passive* deployment.

Infrasense Passive deployment however would require customers to provision non admin/root user credentials  in Enterprise360 for passive and remote monitoring. Customers concerned about providing system credentials due to company/cyber security policy may opt for *Infrasense Active Agent*.

***Note****: Infrasense Active sensors can not communicate directly to Enterprise360 and would also require Linux based Infrasense Passive sensor additionally*
