## Synthetic Monitor - URL

This monitor aims to be of help for users who wish to test and monitor a public website's state of health - whether up or down, affected by error if any and the extent of response time.

### Prerequsite

To use the "Synthetic Monitor - URL"  workflow the URLs for running related transactions have to be configured in Enterprise360. See [Configuring URL for Synthetic Monitoring](https://thoughtdata.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/TUD/pages/57770830/Prerequisite+-+Configure+URL+for+Synthetic+Monitoring).

### Default Panels

This is a display of multiple rows of 3 panels  each for all the URLs configured for synthetic monitoring.

The table in the left most panel contains details related to the URL.

| This field... | Indicates... |
| IP Address | the IP address of the URL. This is a hyperlink to the URL. Click to view URL analytics. |
| Status | the up/down status of the site associated with the URL - |
| HTTP Resp | the response code for the URL request made - for instance 200 indicates "success". |

The graph in the central panel indicates the URL's performance statistics  vis-a-vis multiple web access parameters at specific points in time.

The graph in the right panel indicates the data related to incidents affecting the URL's site at specific points in time.
