## Editing Host/Server Configuration

**Note **: Only manually added servers are shown in the **Host Configuration** tab.

If you have opted to run the discovery process, after a successful completion of the discovery process the status of servers in the network could be one of the following 

- discovered but not provisioned
- discovered and provisioned and actively monitored
- discovered, provisioned, monitored but not currently reachable

The hosts could be discovered but not provisioned because of any of the following reasons:

- authentication failure - due to  username password mismatch between what is set on the host and what has been set in the entity/discovery configuration.
- the host not being part of domain configured in discovery configuration (for Windows based servers).
- the instrumentation not set appropriately for the host, that is, the wrong InfraSense configured for discovery.

To view the servers that are provisioned for monitoring and troubleshoot those that are discovered but not provisioned for monitoring, launch the  

    "Discovered Devices" dashboard within Enterprise360. This displays the servers that are being monitored and those that are not.

**Note **: Only manually added servers are listed in the **Host Configuration** page. provisioned/non-provisioned servers inducted by the **discovery **process are not listed in the **Host Configuration** view because they use the common configuration settings of the discovery process. To change the status of one or more non-provisioned servers inducted by the **discovery **process, you need to manually add them individually by setting the right user credentials. Servers provisioned successfully by the manual procedure can also be edited or deleted from being monitored using the options in the  **Host Configuration** page - see figure below.

#### Changing the username/password for Server

Click "Configuration" in the left pane menu.

Click "Entity Configuration".

Select the server in host configuration view.

Click any host name  in the table to see its details in the *Entity Configuration* tab as illustrated below.

 Provide configuration details as described in the table below.

| Option/Field | Description |
| Protocol | Click the drop-down menu to select the required monitoring protocol. |
| Sensor Name | Indicates the name of the Sensor associated with the selected host. |
| Hostname/IP | Indicates the name or the IP address of the host that is not reachable or not provisioned. |
| Access Port | Indicates the port used for the host. |
| Username | Indicates the username of the host. Edit the username accordingly. |
| Password | Shows the encrypted password currently associated with the username of the host.  To edit the password see next step. |

 Click  > Macro (inline-media-image)

 to see the change password tab.

| Option/Field | Description |
| Current Password | Type the password currently associated with the username.<br>**Note **: For security reasons the current password has to be provided to change the password. If you do not remember this password you can delete the server and add it again as a new server. |
| New Password | Type the new password. |
| Confirm new password | Type the new password. Make sure that the  entry matches exactly what you entered in the New Password field above. |
| Domain | Type the domain name for the host. |
| Polling Interval (minutes) | Type a number to set a polling interval for discovering the host. |

Click "Save" to confirm the changes made.

Thus, if authentication succeeds for a non-discovered server that is added manually, the server is moved to the "discovered and provisioned and actively monitored" state in the "Discovered Devices" monitor/dashboard.
